Rehearsal Files Rehearsal CD's will be provided for Spring 2008. MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) audio files can serve as useful rehearsal aids for choral singers. MIDI files will play in most digital media players (Window Media Player, RealPlayer, Winamp, etc.) but the rehearsal experience is enhanced with the use of specialized MIDI software. A good shareware MIDI player is Melody Assistant (free evaluation version, $20 to register) which displays the score for all choral parts plus the accompaniment, has a metronome feature to control tempo, and allows individual choral parts to be played in isolation.
